Dwayne is highly recognized for his unique interior design sensibility, and his infinite passion for creating beautiful functional spaces. His clientele range from hi-profile celebrities to suburban families with projects located throughout the US. Born and raised just outside of New Orleans in his home town of Lafayette Louisiana, Dwayne has been heavily influenced by his Southern roots.
Early on in his career he worked with the Disney Corporation and studied their infinite commitment to detailed design and client relations. It’s there he acquired his sense of scale and dynamism as he watched the installation of one hospitality project exceeding the next. His wholesale and retail design showroom in the Dallas Design Center and the tony Dallas suburb of Southlake Texas were favorites among Dallas’ finest Interior Designers and Architects.
Dwayne has traveled extensively and spent most of his life working in the industry from Los Angeles to New York, from Asia to Europe. Settling on the East Coast Dwayne co-founded several high end showrooms in Northern New Jersey. He draws from his incredible background to give each of his client’s incredible design and beautiful spaces.
Inevitably, having a boutique office in Manhattan has given Dwayne and Clark Gaynor Interiors an incredible platform to continue creating spaces to push his and his clients limits. Working with DIFFA (Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids) to help energize the design community to give back has been a major focus for Dwayne and his team. Dwayne is a proud member of IFDA, designed for the Greenwich Connecticut Showcase House in 2011,
has been published in New England Home CT, participated in the Architectural Digest DIFFA Dining by Design for the past two years, is a proud member of the Young Professionals Council for DIFFA, and is a member of BNI chapter 13 in Midtown Manhattan.
Bob is originally from Southern California, known for relaxed, inventive, contemporary design. Educated at CSU Long Beach in Organizatonal Communication his management skills play a vital role in Clark Gaynor’s success. He has worked for years in the film and television industry, first in Los Angeles then in New York on the Broadway Stage, which also gives his design a definitive flair for the dramatic. Add to this his extensive knowledge of furniture production and design, Bob has a style that is fresh, thoughtful, and bold.
He has worked closely with Dwayne Clark since 1997 and considers the collaboration effortless. Bob was integral in the creation of several retail design showrooms in Bergen County with responsibilities for showroom design, product development, and showroom management. Recently his work as a founding board member of the Young Professionals Council for DIFFA has given him an opportunity to bring a new generation of designers to the 30 year old charity organization founded by David Rockwell.
