Whew! What a star filled night, indeed! Last night Clark Gaynor Interiors had the pleasure of attending the Designer Visions Opening last night at 250 West in Tribeca. We’ve been fortunate enough to be working on an apartment in this building for the last 6 months, but these are the only finished spaces at the moment. With powerhouse sponsors like Veranda, House Beautiful, and Elle Décor, each apartment was designed without limitation by three of the top designers in the industry: The phenomenal David Rockwell, Mathew Patrick Smyth, and Antony Todd.
The spaces are knock your socks off beautiful! Tasteful, yet so layered and detailed, you’ll want to spend days taking it all in! Working with DIFFA as closely as we have the last year, we have had the immense pleasure to get to know David in the Interior Design world as well as his Broadway and set design world (that could be another blog entirely!) His work is modern, inventive, and often proprietary, using many of his namesake fabric, wall covering, and furniture designs, most notably Maya Romanoff. Mathew, who is also a master at licensing, created a lush, luxurious, and global inspired space for his imaginary clients. Antony uses incredible color blocking to define and inform most of the space, yet chose a serene monochromatic palette for the master to imbue total relaxation and luxury.
Walking through the spaces we were able to catch up with some dear friends: Corey Damen Jenkins, Patrick J Hamilton, Libby Langdon, and Barbara Viteri. It’s always so inspiring to meet with our fellow designers and industry partners. Of course, we had to chat with the ever lovely Joyce Romanoff and her daughter Jennifer of Maya Romanoff. Joyce is a true rock star in our business!
Clark Gaynor Interiors is so proud to be designing in a building with such a pedigree. We thank Designer Visions for giving us a feast for the eyes, and look forward to showing you our own “ designer vision” for 250 West. Ok, now I need a nap!
