As part of many interior designers’ business, fresh florals and holiday décor are just additional tools in helping our clients create lush, warm, and welcoming spaces. This year we have added that Holiday touch for several of our residential and commercial clients including an advertising firm in midtown. Their space is soaring with tons of natural light and a collection of artwork that would rival the Guggenheim. Rather than fill it with glitz and glam that might take your attention off the natural beauty of the space, we chose to use fresh pine garlands and wreathes, cut red and variegated amaryllis stems, as well as fragrant paperwhites. The natural feel of it all truly enhances the space, but what is most striking is the rich winter perfume of pine, and paperwhite: bitter, citrusy, and sweet. Whether you like to bring in a crystal white winter or traditional punchy red, gold, and green, the addition of fresh floral products always gives your home, office, or lobby a sense of the here and now. It may feel like the season will last forever, but this window into the outside world is ephemeral. We should embrace it and enjoy all that winter and the holidays have to offer. Happy Holidays!
